ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਹਾਂ, ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਕਦੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ

ਵੜ ਲੱਭਿਆ ਈ ਨੀ,

ਗਹਿਰੀ ਚੁੱਪ 'ਚ

ਕਿਸੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਫਕੀਰ ਦੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਤਪੱਸਿਆ,

ਉਮਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਾਹ ਦੀ ਚੋਟੀ ਉੱਤੇ

ਇੱਕ ਸਧਾਰਨ ਜਿਹੀ ਸਮਾਧ,

ਇੱਕ ਅਸੀਮ ਚੁੱਪ ਵਿੱਚ

ਕਿਸੇ ਅਕੱਥ ਬ੍ਰਹਿਮੰਡ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਾਰਤ,

ਬੰਦ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਬ੍ਰਹਿਮੰਡ

ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਅਹਿਸਾਸਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ

ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਦਿਖੇ।

I am the one

whom I never truly found within myself —

In a deep silence,

the meditation of a complete sage.

On the peak

of the grass of ages,

a simple, serene trance.

Within an infinite stillness,

the mischief of an unspeakable universe —

The cosmos behind closed eyes

seems mightier

than all the emotions of this world.
